Beartooth scraps AI-generated lyric video and releases new single

Beartooth released their new single “Bulls**t” on June 19th. This came after the band discovered that the artist had lied about using AI and canceled a planned lyric video hours before the release. Frontman Caleb Shomo and his brother Luke scrambled overnight to create a replacement video.

“The artist we commissioned for this project was adamant throughout the process that no AI was used in the creation of this lyric video,” Shomo wrote on social media. “Unfortunately, after many red flags and conversations this morning, we now know that is not the case.”

The group posted the teaser on the morning of June 18th. Fans quickly noticed how the AI ​​worked. After seeing what happened, Shomo clarified his position. The band does not use AI or work with artists who lie.

Luke Shomo created the album art. He jumped in to create a new clip. “My brother Luke, who worked tirelessly on the album art, will be working hard tonight to create a lyric video that we’re all proud of. He’s a real doozy and we’re rooting for him,” Caleb Shomo added.

“‘Bulls**t’ is a familiar song that I’ve written many times,” Caleb Shomo said, according to Chaoszine. “We wanted to revisit the musical style that inspired so much healing and discovery in the early days of Beartooth.”

The metalcore act will embark on a European tour starting September 17th in Jarhundertal, Frankfurt, Germany. The run will include stops in Hamburg, Brussels, Prague, Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Milan, Zurich, Paris and London, finishing in Glasgow on October 6th.

The US tour begins November 11th at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston. The 22-day trip will take in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans, Austin, Dallas, Denver, and Los Angeles before ending in Wheatland, California, on December 19th.
