RIYADH: The Saudi Data and AI Agency, in collaboration with the World Bank, concluded a five-day international program held in Belgium and Germany.

The program aimed to review key international experiences in data governance, artificial intelligence and digital policy frameworks. It also included consultations with experts from both countries to exchange knowledge and expertise.

According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, during the program, participants reflected on Saudi Arabia’s experience in building a national ecosystem of data and AI.


The program included conferences and specialized sessions in Brussels and Berlin with European and international organizations, governments and non-profit organizations, and think tanks focused on digital policy and AI governance. (spa)

They highlighted Saudi efforts to promote the responsible use of advanced technologies, as well as achievements in data governance, digital policy, and regulatory frameworks.

The program included conferences and specialized sessions in Brussels and Berlin with European and international organizations, governments and non-profit organizations, and think tanks focused on digital policy and AI governance.

Discussions covered international cooperation on cross-border challenges related to AI, regulatory frameworks, data governance and privacy, and emerging technologies.

Participants also considered frameworks to support responsible innovation and digital transformation.

A team from Saudi authorities and the World Bank reviewed leading practices in developing digital policies and designing regulatory frameworks for data and AI.

We also discussed mechanisms to strengthen international cooperation and knowledge exchange to support a sustainable national ecosystem of data and AI.

The program is part of Saudi authorities’ efforts to strengthen international cooperation and build partnerships with major global organizations and institutions.

It also aims to benefit from international expertise and best practices to support Saudi Arabia’s goal of strengthening its global position in data and AI.

This initiative is in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and AI Year 2026 and supports efforts to transfer knowledge and expertise to the Kingdom.
