The companies will jointly bring AI solutions and services to market across industries including financial services, healthcare, and public services.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has partnered with Anthropic to help enterprises scale AI adoption and move AI initiatives from pilot projects to production environments.
As part of the partnership, TCS will establish a dedicated business unit focused on Anthropic’s Claude family of AI models. The division develops industry-specific products, builds AI expertise, and supports companies’ global adoption.
The companies will jointly bring AI solutions and services to market across industries including financial services, public services, healthcare, life sciences, aviation, telecommunications, and medical technology.
TCS is also committed to providing Claude with access to 50,000 employees across engineering, finance, legal, marketing and sales departments through enterprise-wide licensing.
This move will enable TCS to use Claude internally while gaining practical experience that can be applied to customer transformation projects.
The partnership comes as many companies continue to evaluate AI use cases but face challenges in deploying them at scale, especially in highly regulated sectors where governance, oversight, auditability, and compliance requirements are critical.
According to TCS, the partnership aims to address these challenges by combining Anthropic’s AI models with TCS’ consulting, engineering, and implementation capabilities.
TCS will also gain early access to Claude models, enabling it to develop industry solutions and enhance its enterprise AI services portfolio.
Supporting enterprise AI deployments
TCS said organizations in regulated industries often struggle to move beyond AI experimentation, as production deployments require higher levels of accuracy, transparency and operational control.
The company believes that by combining its governance framework, implementation expertise, and managed services capabilities with Claude’s AI capabilities, companies can more confidently deploy AI across critical business processes.
As a Global Premier Partner of Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network, TCS will focus on delivering Claude to enterprises that require strong governance, resiliency, and integration with existing business systems.
The companies will jointly develop solutions for domain-specific workflows, application modernization efforts, and customer experience transformation programs.
TCS’ consulting, engineering, and managed services teams support these services.
This partnership creates opportunities for customers looking to deploy AI across business functions while maintaining operational control and compliance standards.
K Krithivasan, CEO and MD, TCS, said the value of enterprise AI comes from combining business context, AI engineering capabilities and the ability to orchestrate complex enterprise systems.
He said the partnership will help customers accelerate production deployments, especially in industries where reliability, resiliency and regulatory requirements play a critical role.
Expand Claude adoption across TCS businesses
This partnership will also extend across TCS’ products, platforms and business units.
Diligenta, TCS’ UK-based life and pensions business, plans to use Claude to improve customer experience through agent process transformation initiatives.
The business serves more than 22 million life insurance and pension customers and operates within a regulated environment.
Additionally, TCS’ banking, financial services, and insurance product and platform teams use Claude Code to improve productivity across software engineering and IT operations.
The company expects its AI-assisted development capabilities to help teams accelerate software delivery and improve operational efficiency.
TCS also contributes domain expertise to the Claude Code ecosystem through reusable skills and plugins.
These capabilities include use cases such as insurance claims adjudication and loan advisory processes.
This initiative reflects a broader trend across enterprise technology organizations that is increasingly deploying AI coding assistants to support software development and operations teams.
Build AI skills through TCS iON
The partnership also includes a workforce development component.
TCS iON introduces a learning and certification program focused on the Claude model to help develop AI skills across India.
TCS iON conducts over 75 million assessments annually across 1,500 cities and towns in India.
The company plans to use the platform to provide training and certification opportunities that help students and professionals build practical AI skills.
This initiative addresses the growing demand for AI talent as organizations increase investment in generative AI, automation, and AI-powered business applications.
Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, said the partnership will strengthen the company’s presence in India and expand access to Claude for businesses and professionals around the world.
He described India as Anthropic’s second-largest market and said this partnership will help bring Claude to companies in the region and beyond.
Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran said AI is expected to become a foundational technology for businesses and this partnership will support their transformation efforts as well as help build AI skills in the Indian workforce.
The partnership represents one of the largest in-house deployments announced by an Indian IT services company and signals TCS’ intent to deepen its collaboration with Anthropic’s technology ecosystem and expand its enterprise AI capabilities.
