Honeywell announced expansions to its operational technology (OT) cybersecurity suite that provides advanced, proactive protection for industrial environments facing an accelerating wave of advanced cyber threats. The enhanced portfolio integrates powerful new capabilities designed to protect critical infrastructure, streamline security compliance, and help organizations stay ahead of increasingly complex attacks.

Cyberattacks against operational technology assets continue to increase in both frequency and sophistication. However, only 32% of organizations with industrial environments actively monitor their OT systems, and only 20% maintain a dedicated OT security team, according to the World Economic Forum’s annual Global Cybersecurity Outlook. Recognizing these risks, Honeywell’s OT cybersecurity suite enables industrial enterprises to move beyond reactive security models and adopt an integrated, proactive approach to cyber resilience.

“The cybersecurity landscape for industrial organizations continues to rapidly evolve, with increasingly sophisticated threats targeting critical operations,” Jim Masso, president and CEO of Honeywell Process Automation, said in a statement Monday. “Organizations with a unified cybersecurity strategy across both digital and physical environments avoid potentially dangerous and costly attacks while establishing a solid foundation for operational resilience.”

Honeywell’s expanded OT cybersecurity suite introduces five new features designed to enhance protection of critical infrastructure and reduce operational risk. The Secure Media Exchange (SMX) portable scanner is a cyber-physical security solution that protects industrial facilities from threats introduced through USB drives and other removable media. Leverage advanced antivirus technology and threat intelligence to perform deep inspections of storage devices, Windows-based machines, and air-gapped systems to reduce the risk of malware disrupting critical operations and supply chains.

The Cyber ​​Proactive Defense (CPD) platform is an AI-powered surveillance solution designed specifically for OT environments. Use advanced analytics and real-time monitoring to correlate alerts across processes and automation systems, enabling organizations to identify, prioritize, and mitigate threats before they become operational incidents. Honeywell also introduced Cyber ​​Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC). It automates evidence collection and audit reporting through AI and machine learning, reducing administrative workload while increasing visibility into your security posture.

To protect sensitive data flows, Honeywell data diodes enable secure one-way data transfer, helping to isolate critical systems and maintain strict security standards within OT environments. The company also expanded its Managed OT Security Operations Center (SOC) service, which provides 24/7 monitoring of networks and endpoints through a vendor-neutral platform. This service is designed to improve incident response, minimize asset downtime, and support operational continuity across industrial environments.

A comprehensive extension of Honeywell’s OT cybersecurity suite is available now and designed for deployment across a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, energy, and critical infrastructure.
