Field proven: Sanofi’s new ‘Concierge for Field’ agent provides sales reps with AI-generated pre-call plans in seconds
San Francisco, Snowflake Summit 26 – June 2, 2026 – Snowflake (NYSE:SNOW), the AI data cloud company, today announced at Snowflake Summit 26 that Sanofi, one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical companies, has established a new blueprint for AI-powered biopharmaceuticals with the launch of Concierge for Field, a new AI agent built on Snowflake Cortex AI. This agent prepares Sanofi’s worldwide sales representatives for each physician and healthcare provider visit.
In one conversation, your agent can ask for your pre-call plan, instantly see your top physician based on specialty and prescription history, review past interactions, and have a complete plan emailed to your inbox. Tasks that previously took hours of manual investigation can now be completed in seconds.
Concierge for Field is the most visible example of a larger change. Sanofi is using Snowflake to build its agent efforts and deploy AI agents across R&D, procurement, IT, human resources, and field sales, setting new standards for how the life sciences industry uses data and AI to accelerate science and deliver treatments faster.
Like many global organizations, Sanofi’s early data investments created thousands of dashboards, but left much of the underlying data untapped. This change occurred when Sanofi began working with Elementum, an AI-native alternative to traditional SaaS. The company integrated its data on Snowflake and combined it with the agent capabilities of Snowflake Cortex AI, including Snowflake CoWork, a personal agent for working smarter. The result is a fundamentally new operating model. AI workflows built with Elementum run directly on Snowflake, eliminating the friction, cost, and lock-in of traditional enterprise software. The same unified foundation is already powering Sanofi’s research teams, which use Snowflake to process real-world clinical data at scale and accelerate the analytics that inform drug development decisions.
“Over the years, we have built complex pipelines to move data in and out of expensive software just to access our data,” said Emmanuel Frenehardt, chief digital officer at Sanofi. “Thanks to Snowflake and Elementum, we have a clear path forward. We are building AI directly on our data and reinventing the way our company operates, from R&D to manufacturing to commercial. This will make Sanofi the first biopharmaceutical to leverage AI at scale.”
Snowflake’s Forward Deployed Engineers are dedicated teams of AI engineers and researchers, full-stack and data engineers, data professionals, industry specialists, and AI product managers who are embedded directly within customer teams to co-build AI solutions. The team works with Sanofi’s data and engineering teams to extend these capabilities while Elementum’s AI applications run directly on the Snowflake platform.
“Sanofi is demonstrating what is possible when AI is built directly on top of trusted enterprise data,” said Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy. “Rather than layer AI on top of fragmented legacy systems, we are using Snowflake as the foundation for a unified agent-based enterprise, connecting research, manufacturing, and commercial operations on a single AI-enabled platform. Sanofi is proving that AI is creating measurable impact in the real world. From accelerating drug development to supporting field teams to operate faster and more accurately, this is the future that Snowflake enables. Systems allow organizations to move faster, operate smarter, and ultimately deliver better results for the people they serve. ”
