On Wednesday, ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Congress leader DK Shivakumar as Chief Minister of Karnataka, the BJP launched a sharp attack on the Congress government through a series of posts on X, criticizing and alleging failures in governance.In an AI-generated video shared late on Tuesday night, the BJP Karnataka depicted DK Shivakumar driving an SUV on a waterlogged road.In another post, the Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka accused the Congress government of neglecting farmers ahead of the monsoon season. The party alleged that the state government has failed to ensure adequate and quality seeds and fertilizer supply and has not provided compensation to farmers who suffered crop losses due to the rains.“The Congress government in the state has completely ignored farmers. There has been total neglect to provide adequate and quality seeds and fertilizers to food suppliers for the monsoon,” the Bharatiya Janata Party said, adding that farmers will continue to suffer until such governments are removed from power.“Farmers are just trash to Congress. Farmers will never find peace until a government with such ideas is overthrown,” it further reads.The BJP also targeted the Congress government over the welfare of Dalits, alleging that it secured votes from the community but failed to address their concerns after coming to power.“It is characteristic of this Congress government that it came to power by securing Dalit votes, only to push the very same Dalit community into the most dire conditions,” the Bharatiya Janata Party Karnataka said, accusing the government of pursuing “anti-Dalit” policies and neglecting infrastructure and development for the Dalit community.DK Shivakumar takes oath as CM todayCongress leader DK Shivakumar, 64, will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka today.
