Netskope has launched an AI command center that extends the Netskope One AI security suite.

This tool is intended to give security teams a clearer view of artificial intelligence usage across enterprise environments, including approved and unapproved services, on-premises systems, and cloud deployments. Netskope also announced that it will be participating in Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, which will enable access to Mythos.

Netskope is entering a market shaped by the rapid adoption of AI tools by enterprises and growing concerns about governance. According to research cited by the company, only 6% of security teams reported having complete visibility into all AI deployments and usage within their organization, and 94% said there were gaps in visibility of AI activity.

Data from Netskope Threat Labs shows that the use of AI software is rapidly increasing within large organizations. According to Netskope, the average company it tracks has seen a 5x increase in AI applications, a 3x increase in its AI user base, managed 37 deployed AI agents, and experienced 223 AI data policy violations per month over the past year.

AI Command Center is designed to discover AI assets across your organization and connect that information to your existing security context, such as user identities, data stores, and application trust ratings. According to Netskope, the system highlights risks and suggests actions such as policy changes, remediation workflows, and investigations from the same interface.

Netskope outlined two additional detection features in parallel with the core release. One extends the Netskope One Client on managed endpoints to scan installed applications, active processes, and listening ports to identify known AI agents, local models, and browser extensions.

The second is a server discovery component built around a lightweight eBPF agent. Netskope said it intercepts TLS-encrypted AI traffic at the kernel level on enterprise virtual machines and Kubernetes nodes to identify AI infrastructure operating within enterprise boundaries.

This announcement also includes the new AgentSkope AI Risk AISecOps agent, which is integrated with AI Command Center. Netskope describes it as an autonomous layer for triage, investigation, and response that aims to help security teams deal with AI-related incidents without adding staff.

AI Command Center is generally available. Netskope said enhancements such as Endpoint AI Discovery, Server AI Discovery, AI Asset Mapping and Risk Correlation, and AI Risk AISecOps Agent will move from private preview to general availability during the third quarter.

The announcement reflects a broader shift among cybersecurity suppliers to build products focused on AI monitoring as companies rapidly deploy chatbots, coding assistants, autonomous agents, and local models. One of the core issues for security teams is that the use of AI often extends beyond formal procurement channels, making it difficult to understand which systems are processing corporate data and how they connect to existing infrastructure.

This challenge is especially acute when employees bring in consumer AI tools or install browser-based assistants without authorization. In these cases, defenders may have limited visibility into what data is being shared, whether models are hosted internally or externally, and how AI services interact with corporate systems.

Netskope argued that linking AI detection to identity, application, and data context is necessary for security teams to distinguish between low-level noise and issues that require attention. The company is positioning the new product as a way to unify visibility into network traffic, endpoints, and cloud applications rather than relying on separate tools.

For Netskope, Anthropic’s participation in Project Glasswing adds a new element to its AI security strategy. The company said that those who join will get access to Mythos, but no further technical details were disclosed in the announcement.
