Do you want to learn more about artificial intelligence (AI) technology and how it can benefit your career or daily life, or are you just curious and want to better understand what all the fuss about AI is?
This summer, the University of South Carolina Salkehatchee is offering upcoming opportunities for area residents to build valuable digital skills completely free of charge.
In collaboration with the USC College of Information and Communication and USC Palmetto College, the USC Salkehatchee Innovation Lab is hosting AI 4 SC Summer 2026. It’s a “series of hands-on workshops designed to help community members, local experts, and business owners navigate and leverage AI technology,” according to a USC Salk release this week.
These free workshops will be hosted by AI educator and technology innovator Glen Caruso and will be held in person at both Sauk’s Walterboro and Allendale campuses.
According to a recent Gallup poll, approximately 13 percent of employed Americans already use AI tools every day at work, and that number is expected to grow rapidly. So here’s where you can take advantage of free classroom opportunities and gain potential new career skills.
