YouTube is launching a new AI feature that will create a personalized video feed based on your description of what you want to watch. YouTube said in an announcement that users can create custom content feeds based on their specific interests, moods, and favorite topics, and pin them to the top of the YouTube homepage so they can easily return to their feeds.
This feature is currently rolling out with English support to YouTube users in the United States who are signed in to the YouTube mobile app or desktop. To access it, go to the top of the YouTube homepage.[カスタム フィード]Click the tab and enter a prompt description in the AI text box. For example, if you ask YouTube AI to “help me relax with a 10-minute guided meditation” or “an in-depth technical podcast about AI,” you’ll receive a curated feed based on your request.
This is similar to AI-powered feed customization features found on other platforms, such as Spotify’s prompt playlists. Instagram also gave users more control over its Reels feed algorithm in December, using topic lists instead of descriptive prompts.
YouTube says you can edit the prompt at any time to “generate an entirely new space” by selecting the text box at the top of your custom feed. To see the “Custom Feed” tab, YouTube says you’ll need to make sure search history and watch history are enabled in your account settings.
