MACAU, May 29 (Xinhua) — The industrial integration of AI from digital systems to physical industry was on full display at BEYOND Expo 2026, a showcase of cutting-edge technology and innovation held in Macau.
The expo, themed “AI: From Digital to Physical,” opened on Wednesday and will run until Saturday. The expo featured a wide-ranging program and attracted nearly 800 international exhibitors, organizers said. At the venue, you will be able to see products that utilize cutting-edge technology, such as robots and smart devices with various functions.
Chinese AI company iFLYTEK unveiled its latest AI glasses during the expo. The glasses support real-time translation in 122 languages, display content directly on the lenses, and weigh approximately 40 grams.
Lin Huijie, general manager of iFLYTEK consumer wearable business, said in an interview that the newly launched products span a wide range of upstream and downstream industry chains, and require stronger industrial cooperation than traditional eyewear products. He said the company wants to work with partners to help establish industry standards for smart glasses.
Expo attendee Stephen Wong tried on the smart glasses at the venue. Wong said, “This is my first time wearing AI glasses. Thanks to products like this, our business will be more convenient, and many negotiations and communications will be more direct.”
Mr. Wong expressed the hope that this year’s Expo will feature a higher level of technological sophistication and the launch of more new products, and will discover more products and companies suitable for overseas expansion through Macau.
Near the smart glasses exhibition area, two robots performing martial arts moves attracted many visitors.
Li Yan, head of marketing at Shenzhen-based Engine AI, said this year’s expo also showcased rapid technology iterations across the robotics industry.
Lee said the company’s bipedal general-purpose humanoid robots are already on the market and can run, dance and box, but the full-sized humanoid robots can run at 3 meters per second and have agility and explosive power.
BEYOND Expo 2026 is hosted by the Macau Technology Association. A series of forums and summits on various topics such as green building and digital commerce were also held. ■
