Recognizing this growing demand, IITM Pravartak (IIT Madras’ Technology Innovation Hub), in collaboration with Emeritus, launched the Agentic AI and Applications Professional Certification Program. This program is supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, skills related to decision-making and problem-solving, such as AI development and data science, are among the most in-demand and fastest-evolving in the world. This program is designed to address this growing need and provide next-generation AI capabilities to professionals.
5 month industry oriented program
This 5-month program is specifically designed for AI professionals, data scientists, machine learning engineers, developers, product managers, and domain experts. Participants will learn how to build intelligent, goal-oriented AI agents using advanced tools and frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, Flowise, OpenAI, and FAISS.
This course moves beyond the use of prompt-based AI to enable learners to develop autonomous systems with capabilities such as memory, planning, and reasoning. These systems can be deployed to solve complex real-world problems across industries, including business automation, digital transformation, and product innovation.
Focus on practical learning and industrial applications
The curriculum is very practical and application-oriented. It includes over 20 step-by-step coding challenges aimed at strengthening core technical competencies. Participants will also complete a capstone project in which they design and deploy an end-to-end AI agent system tailored to real-world industry use cases.
Key learning areas include building search augmentation generation (RAG) pipelines, agent orchestration, workflow automation, and integrating AI into business processes. This prepares learners to apply Agentic AI across multiple domains such as finance, healthcare, e-commerce, and corporate operations.
