IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies has signed a MoU with Sarvam AI to jointly develop production-grade AI applications tailored to sectors such as government, defence, financial services and healthcare.
Sarvam AI brings expertise in building India-centric foundational AI models, including multilingual language models and conversational AI, while IITM Pravartak complements its capabilities in AI solution engineering, systems integration, and deployment.
Shankar Raman, Chief Executive Officer, IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, said, “This partnership will combine our rigorous algorithmic research and secure locally hosted infrastructure to deploy culturally contextualized and bespoke models for critical sectors across India.”
