Hybrid format, impactful experience
This two-year program offers a flexible hybrid format that combines weekly live virtual instruction with twice-yearly immersive in-person training at Penn State’s University Park campus. Designed to accommodate working professionals, classes are held outside of standard business hours, allowing learners to earn a world-class degree without interrupting their careers.
In-person training provides hands-on learning, opportunities for deep collaboration, and the opportunity to build lasting connections with colleagues, faculty, and industry thought leaders.
Applied learning that leads to real business results
As companies accelerate their efforts to operationalize AI responsibly, the demand for strategic, AI-savvy leadership is rapidly increasing. This program is a direct response to that need, said Brian Cameron, associate dean for professional graduate programs and executive education.
Coursework focuses on agentic AI and intelligent prompting, AI-powered business transformation, and AI-powered business analysis. Rather than training programmers, we equip leaders to leverage pre-built AI models for workflow optimization, strategic decision-making, and value creation, with a focus on ethics, accountability, and business alignment.

No coding required – just curiosity and ambition
The Master of Applied AI for Business Transformation program is intentionally non-technical. No programming or data science background required. Instead, it’s designed for professionals who are passionate about leading AI-powered innovation, building cross-functional teams, and driving results through insight and action.
