Legal AI platform August is currently used by UK law firm Harrison Drury across multiple business functions, as well as legal matters.
The US-based August newspaper noted that small-to-medium-sized firm Harrison Drury will use its AI skills for “corporate transactions and commercial real estate.” [and for] Human resources, marketing, business development, financial operations,’ in the same way.
Staff across the company, from fee earners to operations teams, “will receive training and certification through August Academy, a library of over 100 video tutorials on using AI effectively and responsibly,” they added.
The law firm, which has nine offices in the UK, said it considered several platforms before choosing August. More recently, AmLaw 200 company Hughes Hubbard & Reed also selected August as their primary AI platform.

Is this a big deal?
In terms of acquiring key customers, the British company is clearly not the biggest player in the market. But that may not be the important aspect here. August intentionally targets small and medium-sized law firms around the world and works with large law firms whenever possible.
Additionally, while many legal AI platforms are only used for specific legal needs, in this case August is leveraging its AI skills to help in all areas. whole businessThis is an interesting strategy and increases the overall usage of the platform.
