The document also envisions the development of advanced digital infrastructure and the deployment of innovative technologies that can support decision-making and operational processes across the mission spectrum. The document states that AI is “emerging as an essential strategic element for the future of national defense, which is characterized by rapid technological evolution and increasing geopolitical challenges. The Italian Ministry of Defense recognizes AI as an essential means to enhance operational capabilities.”
