TThe government has developed a plan to build an integrated smart government service platform to support the long-term development of smart cities. The platform is expected to go live in the first half of next year, following the latest upgrades to Macao One Account and Business & Associations Platform.

Among these efforts, he mentioned that the “Macao One Account” will be upgraded to version 3.0, incorporating intelligent features and moving from a static model to a proactive service model.

“For example, it will automatically recommend services that the user may need based on their age, and they will be able to interact with the smart service assistant via voice or text,” Administrative Attorney-General Wong Sioh Chak said earlier this month during a parliamentary question on the government’s plans to build a centralized smart government services platform to support the long-term development of smart cities.

In the same response, he said the Prime Minister’s Office is coordinating the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure systems and smart government services, and moving forward with related work in an orderly manner.

According to Wong, the Department of Public Administration and Civil Service (SAFP) has deployed several local AI large-scale language models within the Government Cloud Computing Center to provide various departments with a trial version of the government’s dedicated internal office platform. As of February, approximately 5,000 users from 28 departments have registered on the platform, and the total number of uses has reached 460,000.

In addition, the government’s open data platform has accumulated nearly 1,400 datasets involving 47 public sectors, agencies and commissions, covering 15 thematic areas including public administration, tourism and gaming, employment, health and social security.

Currently, the “Macau One Account” service has approximately 680,000 users, covering almost all residents, and provides more than 480 electronic services and functions. Meanwhile, the Business & Associations Platform has nearly 23,000 entity users and offers over 200 electronic services.

According to a recent thematic article published on the SAFP website, the government’s dedicated cloud computing center, a core operator of e-government services, has completed its expansion. We also introduced multiple thought-oriented, multimodal, text-based AI large-scale language models. All data processing is carried out within the government’s internal systems, ensuring strict data security for residents and businesses.

As mentioned earlier, the two upgraded platforms are focused on AI capabilities. Based on user needs, we will actively push real-time information and task reminders closely related to daily life, business activities, and community operations.

The platform also fully optimizes the interface design and service workflow, simplifying e-government operations and making services more responsive to real needs.
