Guwahati: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has filed a complaint with the cyber cell of the Assam Police Crime Branch in Guwahati over a fake AI-generated video and letter, alleging an attempt to tarnish the image of the organization.RSS Guwahati Mahanagar Sancharak Guru Prasad Mehdi said in the complaint: “The content being circulated is false, malicious and aimed at misleading the public and tarnishing the image of the organization.”“We call on your office to kindly investigate this matter, identify those responsible and responsible for the creation and distribution of this fake content, and take necessary legal action as soon as possible,” he said.Mehdi said these activities were allegedly carried out with malicious intent, had the potential to disrupt public harmony and required immediate intervention. “Necessary steps may be taken in this regard in the larger national interest,” he added.According to RSS, the video, which is described as “fake and AI-generated”, refers to the organization’s alleged grievances against the BJP leadership in Assam.RSS sources said the video also included the logo of the state TV channel.“The video also has the logo of a national TV channel. It is a completely fake video. One complaint has also been filed in Delhi over the AI-generated fake video. The video has been circulating on social media for the past four-five days,” said an RSS source.
