
On March 21st and 22nd in Khanh Hoa Province, the Ho Chi Minh City Otorhinolaryngology Association, in cooperation with the Khanh Hoa Otorhinolaryngology Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Otorhinolaryngology Hospital, held the 42nd Annual Scientific Conference in 2026.
The conference was attended by approximately 800 representatives of specialists, physicians, internists, and others from many states and cities across the country. This is one of the large professional forums contributing to collaboration and updating of medical knowledge in the field of ORL.
Themed “Latest Diagnosis – Treatment – Ear, Nose and Throat Care”, the program is divided into four specialized sessions focusing on key areas such as: Ear – pathology of hearing; throat – larynx. Head and Neck Surgery – Cancer.
The conference introduced many new advances in diagnosis and treatment, particularly the application of artificial intelligence, immunology, and the latest surgical techniques.
A detailed report highlights many prominent methods such as balloon ear canal dilation in the treatment of recurrent ear canal obstruction.
The conference introduced the “Carolyn’s window” drilling technique in nasal sinus surgery, initial treatment of skull base injuries with nasal endoscopy, and nasal septal orthopedic surgery using autologous septal grafts.
Additionally, the conference also highlighted functional rehabilitation and treatment solutions for head and neck cancer, including: Partial frontolaryngectomy with neck skin graft regeneration. Application of narrow band endoscopy in the early diagnosis of lower throat and laryngeal cancer.
According to the organizers, the conference is not only a forum for exchanging professional experiences, but also an opportunity to present in-depth research, thereby marking important progress in the specialty of otolaryngology in Vietnam.
