Boulogne-Billancourt, France—Moments Lab will introduce the latest multimodal and agent AI capabilities in its video discovery platform to accelerate content search, creation, and distribution workflows at scale for video teams at the 2026 NAB Show, April 18-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Moments Lab’s Discovery Agent lets users search their media library through conversational prompts that explain what they need, just like they would talk to a colleague. Agents return relevant clips, quotes, and exact moments within your entire library or a single long-form video.
Phil Petitpont, CEO and co-founder of Moments Lab, said, “User adoption of Discovery Agent is rapidly growing at more than 50%, and feedback is that it is a ‘life-changing’ tool.” “The real power of Discovery Agent is its speed. Just ask what you need in plain language and get accurate, contextual results in seconds. The agent also makes suggestions to help fill in the gaps in your story. It’s truly transforming the way creative teams work.”
Moments Lab’s Discovery Agent is now available. Other new features demonstrated at the show include:
- Agent Ecosystem: Beyond the Discovery Agent, Moments Lab will demonstrate how agent workflows are deployed to enable interaction between agents, and what can be done with Agent-to-Agent (A2A) and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Project: A new collaborative workspace for producers, editors, and digital teams to work with specific media within the Moments Lab Video Discovery platform.
- Moments Gateway: A lightweight application that bridges on-premises production and archive storage to cloud systems and enables AI-powered video search.
- Native panels in Avid Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve: Joining Moments Lab’s existing Adobe Premiere Pro editing capabilities, it eliminates the need for manual EDL workflows and significantly reduces download times. Editors can search, preview, and access AI-indexed footage from the Moments Lab library directly within NLE.
Taken together, these advances create a continuous flow from archive to rough cut to final delivery, reducing handoffs, speeding up turnaround times, and allowing creative teams to focus on storytelling rather than file management. To support organizations moving beyond experimentation toward full-scale deployment, Moments Lab is also introducing a dedicated agent conversion package. This package is designed to accelerate deployment of agent workflows and removes three important barriers to entry. Technology implementation support to facilitate migration and ensure agents fully understand and operate their own media libraries. Support for AI indexing costs to enable sustainable large-scale implementation.
