Israel’s Maristek, which develops AI-enabled edge computing systems, has received its first major production order from a defense company specializing in loitering weapons.

This award marks the customer’s transition from evaluation to production deployment after a series of pilot projects and system validation tests.

Financial terms and delivery dates were not disclosed, but Maristec described the contract as the first substantive operational supply order related to the program.

The increased use of loitering weapons in recent conflicts has increased the demand for onboard processing systems that can process video feeds, navigation data, and targeting functions without relying on constant communication links.
