Google has integrated AI music creation capabilities into the Gemini app with the introduction of Lyria 3, which expands multimodal AI capabilities for creators. Google DeepMind has introduced a new AI system that allows users to generate original music tracks through basic text input on Android and iOS devices.
The AI music creation feature is aimed at social media short videos and digital storytelling and is a major advancement for Google Gemini applications.
What can Lyria 3 do?
Lyria 3 allows users to create tracks up to 30 seconds long by describing genre, mood, tempo, and instrumentation. AI music generator produces sophisticated audio clips with layered instrumentation. Compared to previous versions, Lyria 3 offers improved sound quality, richer arrangements, and greater coherence across songs.
Google DeepMind said the model can also automatically generate lyrics, giving you more control over style, vocals, and tempo. Users can create music in two ways: through text prompts and the ability to manipulate visual elements. You can turn your sunset photo into music that reflects the beauty of the sunset. Each music track can also have cover art created by AI.
Google is extending Lyria’s capabilities to YouTube Dream Track, allowing creators to experiment with AI-generated music in short videos and other formats.
