NEW DELHI: The upcoming India AI Impact Summit 2026 will be organized through seven chakras or working groups organized around seven interrelated thematic areas, with each chakra focusing on a core area of AI impact and translating scripture into concrete action areas across policy and real-world applications, an official statement said on Sunday.
Each chakra fosters multilateral collaboration on the social impact of AI, from building skills to ensuring ethical deployment. These are: human capital. Inclusion for social empowerment. Safe and reliable AI, science. Resilience innovation and efficiency. Democratizing AI resources. AI for economic development and social good.
“Through these chakras, India aims to shape global AI norms while addressing regional challenges. The outcomes of the summit will guide policymakers, investors and industry leaders in the years to come,” the statement said.
More than 100 countries around the world are committed to shaping a responsible and inclusive future of AI through these working groups. The India AI Impact Summit 2026, to be held from February 16 to 20, is expected to attract high-level and significant participation, including 15-20 heads of government, over 50 international ministers, and over 40 global and Indian CEOs.
According to the statement, the summit is guided by three fundamental pillars called the Sutras, which articulate the core principles that will guide global cooperation on AI: People, Planet, and Progress.
India – AI Impact Summit 2026 strengthens India’s role as a key platform for shaping the global AI agenda. The summit promotes a development-oriented framework for artificial intelligence based on the seven chakras and the three scriptures of Man, Earth, and Progress.
“By linking policy and implementation, innovation and public purpose, the Summit will establish a structured approach to responsible AI adoption, aligning technological advances with inclusive growth and sustainable development,” it added.
The summit positions India as a convener and partner for global AI collaboration, supporting shared standards, collaborative frameworks, and scalable solutions for the public good. This marks a shift from dialogue to delivery and strengthens India’s commitment to a responsible, inclusive and development-focused AI pathway.
