Earn AWS AI Competency for Mphasis-generated AI work

AI For Business

Mphasis has achieved AWS AI Competency. This is an official partner designation from Amazon Web Services that recognizes the company’s technical proficiency and proven track record in artificial intelligence and machine learning. This certification recognizes the company’s ability to leverage AWS infrastructure to build, deploy, and scale both traditional and generative AI systems.

To achieve this status, Mphasis has undergone a rigorous evaluation process that evaluates its own solutions and validates customer reviews. The AWS AI Competency Program is managed within the broader AWS Partner Network and requires participants to meet rigorous technical and customer success standards. By validating real-world use cases across a variety of industries, AWS ensures that partners with this designation have the expertise needed to deliver complex AI transformations.

Mphasis said the competency was built on collaboration with AWS. This effort includes the AWS Gen AI Foundry, led by the Mphasis.ai division.

Partner status

Mphasis positioned this competency as a signal to enterprise buyers that they can take generative AI projects beyond pilot work. The company says Gen AI Foundry is focused on moving efforts from experimentation to production on a cloud-native architecture. He also mentioned responsible AI practices in the same program.

“Achieving the AWS AI Competency is a strong validation of our strategic focus on generative AI and our ability to deliver real-world, production-grade AI solutions to global enterprises. By combining cloud scale, deep engineering, and differentiated IP such as Mphasis NeoIPTM, we help our customers derive tangible business value from AI,” said Nitin Rakesh, CEO and Managing Director, Mphasis. says.

This statement ties the AWS designation to Mphasis’ internal product efforts. Mphasis described NeoIP as a framework used across modernization, knowledge engineering, and domain-specific generative AI use cases.

NeoIP focus

Mphasis said NeoIP formed part of the differentiation in its AI efforts. The company described this as an approach to speed up AI-driven transformation efforts. He also said he is working on operationalization, security, and scaling for enterprise deployment.

The company did not disclose financial terms associated with the AWS competency designation. The company did not reveal the names of the customers in the announcement.

Mphasis operates as a technology services provider focused on engineering services and digital transformation operations. The company provides core system modernization services and runs AI practices through its Mphasis.ai division. It also mentions an internal distribution structure called “tribes” that leverages AI.

AWS has expanded its partner competency program as demand for generative AI services increases. Enterprises have been evaluating partner credentials as they move from experimentation to managed deployments. Providers are increasingly relying on cloud infrastructure vendors for model access, tools, and operational management.

Mphasis said the AWS AI Competency strengthens its position as a transformation partner for enterprises looking to modernize their systems and apply generative AI to customer and operational workflows. The company framed this designation as part of its broader partnership with AWS and ongoing efforts in cloud-based AI delivery.

“Achieving the AWS AI Competency is a strong validation of our strategic focus on generative AI and our ability to deliver real-world, production-grade AI solutions to global enterprises. By combining our differentiated IP, including Cloudscale, Deep Engineering, and Mphasis NeoIPTM, we are helping our customers derive tangible business value from AI,” said Rakesh.
