ANCHORAGE, Ala., April 28, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Odom Corporation is hosting two free Mark Cuban Foundation Artificial Intelligence (AI) bootcamps for high school students.nd The AI Bootcamp in Anchorage is for underserved high school students (ages 9-12).th Introduce these high school students to basic AI concepts and skills.
Odom Corporation is one of more than 28 host companies selected to host camps across the United States in Fall 2023.
The Odom Corporation Bootcamp will take place over four consecutive Saturdays from October 14th to November 4th.th Bootcamps are held every Saturday from 10:00pm to 2:00pm (AKDT) and if accepted, high school students must commit to attend all four sessions.

Since AI is a relevant topic in many news sources, students will be asked what artificial intelligence is, where they are already interacting with AI in their lives, and TikTok recommendations, including smart homes. Learn about the ethical implications of AI systems, including but not limited to: There are assistants, facial recognition, self-driving cars, and more. Participants learned how large-scale language models like ChatGPT changed lives as we know them by answering questions, telling original stories, and writing computer code. Students benefit from volunteer corporate mentor instructors who are familiar with AI, ML, and data science and can help students quickly understand what is typically taught at the college level. As part of a four-hour curriculum, students will use open source tools each day to build their own AI applications related to computer vision, machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI.
The Mark Cuban Foundation provides the bootcamp curriculum materials, trains corporate volunteer mentors, and recruits and scores local students selected to attend the camp. Additionally, the Mark Cuban Foundation and The Odom Corporation are working together to provide students with access to food, transportation and laptops. no cost during boot camp.

Founded by Mark Cuban in 2019, the AI Bootcamp initiative has hosted free AI bootcamps for students in several US cities, including Dallas, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Atlantic City. To date, the Mark Cuban Foundation has inspired more than 900 students, with the goal of increasing that number each year.
