The video shows Akhtar wearing a topi and making false claims about his belief system. The artist, who has repeatedly described himself as an atheist, is depicted in the AI video as someone who has turned to God. Javed Akhtar strongly condemned the fake video and threatened legal action against similar videos.“There is a fake video going around that shows a fake computer-generated photo of me with a topic on top of my head and claims that I relied on God in the end. This is nonsense. I am seriously considering reporting this to the cyber police and ultimately dragging the person responsible for this fake news and the few who forwarded it to court for damaging my reputation and credibility,” Javed Akhtar wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
