Earlier this week, Jack White slammed Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) for resharing an AI-generated video of White Stripes musicians intimidating Trump voters, calling the MAGA politician's social media posts “embarrassing.”

The next day, Burchett, who was elected president in 2019, retweeted the video and mocked White's appearance, writing: “That pretty girl from the Addams Family is so ugly I'm mad.”

When User X pointed out that the video wasn't real, Burchett replied, “You mean it's not the girl from the Addams Family?” His comments prompted a furious response from White, who accused Republican politicians of “playground” bullying behavior.

“Can you believe that a member of Congress, yes, a member of Congress (from my state), who once held a sacred and respected position in our society, would repost an AI-generated video containing false comments that I never said (without any research I might add), and then add to that an attempted insult to my appearance, like a 10-year-old on the playground?” White asked her Instagram followers on Monday. “What kind of joke are we living in now?”

White's post continued: “All of Trump's minions and bad guys, like this elected official, are cowards who would never say this directly to someone like you or me.” “Trump really lowered the bar when he brought disaster to this government. Neither he nor his sycophantic congressmen and women show class or dignity; they all just repeat cheap, childish, grade-school bullying talking points and fake Christian (!) rhetoric.”

The White Stripes frontman went on to lament how “lowlife playground bullies” like Trump and Burchett are lowering the standards of America's elected officials, adding, It's really sad. I wish the average American conservative could just take a moment to have a conversation with intellectuals from other countries around the world and really understand what a joke our government (and by proxy, our country) has become.”

“The great state of Tennessee deserves better than Mr. Burchett, but you and your cult are too dug in and too blind to even realize it,” White added. “With a Bible in one hand and a flag in the other, he tramples on our democracy every day for the sake of one man's ego, using taxpayer money to accept a fake peace prize and tearing down the White House brick by brick. It's shameful.”

This is not the first time White has spoken out against the Trump administration. In September 2024, White and bandmate Meg White accused Trump of “blatant embezzlement” for using their song “Seven Nation Army” in a video.

Earlier this month, White also criticized the president's comments about director Rob Reiner and the death of his wife, Michelle, calling Trump a “disgusting, vile, self-centered loser.”

The musician ended Monday's fiery post by refusing to “admit” that officials like Mr. Burchett are part of the MAGA “cult” and predicting a future in which “leaders with good words will take their place in power.”

“All the MAGA hats will be thrown in the landfill and leaders of actual intelligence and honor will take their place. Let's remember American history with highly educated and well-spoken leaders like JFK, FDR, and MLK,” White urged. “As I look around me now, I wonder if half of these so-called representatives have ever actually read the Constitution to which they were sworn in.”
