Three-part series focus: Everyday AI for business

Schuylkill Haven — The three-part series “Everyday AI for Business…Understand. Use. Take advantage of” will be held on February 18 and 25 and March 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 101 of the Classroom Building on the Penn State Schuylkill campus. A light lunch is free. Registration required.

According to the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce's event release, this three-part series is designed to “instill confidence in AI and empower you to leverage it where it matters most.”

The presenter is Alyse Mitten from Interlace Communications.

The first session will help you understand AI. The second session was about “Practical tools that can be used while working,'' and the third session was about “Using AI as an advantage.'' Participants can participate in one, two, or all three of the series.

Zoom event for startups and marketers

Schuylkill Haven — As part of Penn State Schuylkill's listed initiatives, “LinkedIn for Startups and Marketers” will be held remotely via Zoom on Feb. 18 from 6 to 7:15 p.m.

The presenter is Brooke Miles from Shoutout, Delaware. Registration is required for free events.

According to the event announcement, attendees will receive “proven strategies” and “tips” “no matter where they are” during a live remote connection.

Six St. Luke's Hospitals Receive Top Ratings

BETHLEHEM — Six hospitals in the St. Luke's University Health Network are among the other names on the list of “Top Hospitals” for safety published by the Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit hospital safety watchdog group, according to a press release from the network.

Leapfrog's Top Hospital Awards recognize the highest performing hospitals in the United States in the educational, general, regional, and pediatric categories.

St. Luke's Hospital recipients include the Allentown campus and Teaching Top Hospital. Easton Campus, Teaching Top Hospital; Monroe Campus, Rural Top Hospital. Sacred Heart Campus, top teaching hospital. Bethlehem Campus, Teaching Top Hospital, and Warren Campus, Teaching Top Hospital.

St. Luke's Network also operates hospitals and numerous related medical facilities in Schuylkill County.

“These prestigious recognitions are a credit to St. Luke's outstanding leadership, healthcare providers, nurses, other hospital staff and volunteers,” St. Luke's Chief Quality Officer Donna Sabol said in a release.

PSU Schuylkill Sets 2026 Career Fair

Schuylkill Haven — The 2026 Penn State Schuylkill Career Fair will be held on the Schuylkill campus on March 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Help available at Orwigsburg Library

Orwigsburg — The Orwigsburg Regional Public Library (216 W. Independence St.) can provide assistance to those in need of technical assistance.

Such assistance is by appointment only and will be provided on Mondays from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The library also offers assistance with scanning, copying, printing, hotspot rentals, computer use, library Wi-Fi, reading e-books, and more.
