Axelera AI, a company that provides innovative hardware and software platforms that accelerate artificial intelligence (AI), has promoted Meghna Singh to the role of chief human resources officer (CPO).
Mr. Singh has been involved with Axelera AI since joining the company in June 2023 as Vice President of Human Resources. With this promotion, she will continue to contribute to the company, which has a strong presence in the growing field of edge AI and computer vision applications.
The Delhi University and Symbiotic Management Institute alumnus started her career as a management trainee at HCL Comnet in 2007, working as part of the compensation and benefits team.
From October 2007 to March 2011, she worked as a Talent Acquisition Leader at Infosys. During her first year, she handled on-campus recruitment, interacted with the business school, and worked in Bangalore. The second year was spent managing the Global Management Program (GMP) to develop young talent recruited from campus for the client services group. From 2010 to 2011, she was based in the New York metropolitan area and was responsible for technology recruiting in New Jersey.
In December 2014, we spotted Meghna Singh in action as a technology recruiter for Booking.com based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. After a year in this role, she was promoted to Senior Technology Recruiter.
In March 2016, Singh began a long association with McKinsey & Company. She started as an executive recruiter at McKinsey Digital in Europe, working in Amsterdam. After just over two years in this role, she was promoted to Manager of People Development (Global Life Sciences Practice).
Her next promotion in 2022 was as Senior Manager of Human Resources and Talent Development for Global Life Sciences.
Another promotion five months later took her to the position of senior manager of human resources and talent development for McKinsey Digital & Analytics in Europe.
It was in June 2023 that she moved to Axelera AI as Vice President of Human Resources. With this latest promotion, Singh will lead the global human resources function for the Amsterdam-based deep tech company, which is focused on advancing AI at the edge through an integrated hardware and software platform.
She will help shape talent strategy, organizational culture, leadership development, and scalable talent practices to drive the company's growth across 17 countries.
Singh is honored to “help create a culture where the best minds can flourish,” and admits that he is “constantly inspired by some of the smartest and most motivated colleagues I've ever worked with.”
“We're not just building technology; we're laying the foundation for the future of AI. That's a mission worth jumping out of bed for,” she said in a social media post.
HRKatha wishes Meghna Singh all the best in this endeavour.
