Video editors showcasing how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to edit videos have made many people skeptical about the value of implementing AI in more art and media.
In a recent TikTok video with over 6 million views, user Mitchell Thayne (@mitchellthayne) shows how the software plugin AutoPod makes it easy to edit videos within Adobe Premiere.
“No way… I love AI,” Thayne says in the video, zooming in on a plugin that automatically edits content.
In a follow-up video, Thayne explains how AutoPod works.
“This is a tool for podcasters and filmmakers that is completely changing the game,” says Thayne. This is a plugin for Premier Pro that automatically edits your podcast episodes. This multi-camera editor jumps between different speakers and camera angles based on audio and video. ”

Despite all its features, Thane warns viewers that the technology won’t be an easy replacement for real video editors. , asked for comment.
“Nothing is perfect. We’re not going to remove all the gaps and small mistakes, so there’s still very little to go. Before you start freaking out, this isn’t going to take over your job. This is actually an edit.” It’s a great tool to help speed up processes and workflows, so you can get to work on your most important creative tasks.”
The Daily Dot reached out to Thayne via direct message on Instagram.
People seem to be experimenting with AI in different forms of media such as photography, music and journalism. But many are nervous about the move to AI, fearing it could steal jobs and increase privacy risks.
A 2022 Pew Research survey found that 45% of U.S. adults said they were equally worried and excited about the increased use of AI in their daily lives, with 37% saying they were more worried than excited. I’m here.
Commenters on Thayne’s video seemed impressed by the AutoPod technology, but also made fun of the rise of AI.
“Yeah, AI will change his life (he gets fired),” one person commented on Thayne’s video.
“‘I love AI’ [his] Last words before brains are shaved for The Matrix,” joked another commenter.
