McCrae Tech has announced the world's first health AI orchestrator called Orchestra.

Orchestral is a health-native AI orchestrator data platform that connects disparate data sources with AI agents, workflows, and algorithms, enabling scalable and managed AI deployment across healthcare systems.

“Most information technology in healthcare falls into two camps: either big dumb buckets of cloud data or isolated pockets of smart AI,” said Ian McCrae, founder of McCrae Tech.

Orchestral integrates three core components.

These include health information platforms (HIPs) that ingest data from any source and provide trusted, structured, standardized, and compliant health data.

Health Agent Library (HAL), which provides a managed registry of AI components across the health system, and Health AI Tooling (HAT), which enables data analysts and scientists to build agent workflows, business intelligence reports, and more.

“Merely providing clinicians with more and more data will not improve health care. Extra data may contain useful insights, but without the AI ​​tools needed to distill them into human-understandable observations, they are just a needle in a haystack.

Infinitus launches next-generation clinical AI agent

Infinitus Systems has launched the next generation of clinical AI agents for patient-facing conversations.

These new agents provide an intelligent and secure solution for healthcare organizations to empower care teams through patient education, care management, health risk assessment, and other clinical patient communication needs.

According to research from Infinitus, 43% of people have asked a doctor, nurse, or other health care provider a question they were too embarrassed to ask, and 83% of patients who have asked a health care provider a question after receiving a diagnosis have done so after hours.

Infinitus' new generation of agents enables personalization by providing natural, human-like interactions while also providing the ability to safely and effectively extend healthcare systems, plans, and provider care teams.

Infinitus clinical agents use natural speech patterns, tone, and timbre, and have built-in recognition of medical concepts and terminology, allowing agents to understand clinical intent, assess symptom severity, and administer medications according to protocols set by the patient's care team.

The agent's clinical awareness allows it to detect medical emergencies and adverse events and escalate them to specialists if necessary, while ensuring that all important details from the conversation are always communicated to the patient's care team so clinical staff can follow up.

“As a physician, I know how important it is to spend as much time as necessary with patients, addressing their concerns and making them feel heard. But as health care providers, we too often don't have that time,” said Erin Palm, chief medical officer at Infinitas.

When tested for fairness and impartiality in conversations with patients, Infinitus clinical agents found no differences in correct response rates across different age cohorts or genders, and no trends in social vulnerability index (SVI).

The analysis also found that more than 50 percent of the treated patient population is over 65 years of age, and more than 25 percent live in areas designated as the highest social vulnerability category.

Vektor Medical receives FDA 510(k) clearance and adds new features to next-generation vMap

Vektor Medical has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its next generation vMap technology.

This approval expands vMap's non-invasive mapping capabilities with several key enhancements, including atrial flutter mapping, direct ECG and data streaming with an electroanatomical mapping system, 3D model import and visualization, vMap's conversion to Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), and local and remote connectivity to support secure data exchange.

With this permission, clinical use of vMap now includes non-invasive localization of potential arrhythmia causes related to atrial flutter mechanisms.

This new feature expands the range of arrhythmias that can be addressed using vMap, allowing clinicians to assess both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias using a single, rapid, non-invasive mapping solution.

First clinical example of total knee arthroplasty system

restore3d, a 3D printing company developing personalized orthopedic solutions, announced the successful completion of the first clinical case using the iTotal Identity CR 3DP porous fully personalized total knee arthroplasty system.

The first surgery, performed by William J. Berghoff at Parkview Orthopedic Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, marked a limited market release of the system and a major milestone in the next evolution of personalized knee arthroplasty.

Following FDA 510(k) clearance earlier this year, the iTotal Identity CR 3DP porous system becomes the first fully personalized cementless total knee replacement product within the Identity platform.

Built on Restor3d's proven digital-to-implant design workflow, the system integrates CT-based planning, automatic personalization, and advanced 3D printed porous structures on all metal components to provide optimal fit, fixation, and function for every patient.
