Publicis Groupe has released a video and documentary that marries live-action and real actors with the latest AI production to celebrate the France-based global advertising company’s 100th anniversary.
CEO Arthur Sadun said, “2026 will be a very special year for our company as we complete a century.”
“In the past two years, a century has grown a small, popular store in Montmartre into the largest holding company in the industry.
The film “The Lion Never Gives Up” is a hybrid project that uses GenAI 2D and 3D imaging to reconstruct historical scenes, reducing the cost of scene reconstruction and opening new creative possibilities.
A quarter was live-action footage, and the rest was created by AI based on photos, film, and documents from Publicis’ own archives.
AI Prompt artists and AI archivists managed, sourced, and cataloged both the physical images (4,500 in 150 individual shots) and AI-generated images needed for a project of this scale.
