Zelda Williams has a heartfelt plea to people trying to stop sharing AI-generated videos of her late father Robin Williams.

AI-generated clips of deceased celebrities have been trending across social media in recent weeks, and Robin Williams is among those featured.

Some of these videos are sent directly to Zelda, encouraging her to speak out on Instagram.

“Please stop sending me the AI video of your dad. Stop believing that I want to see it or that I understand it.

“If you're trying to cheat on me, I'll see worse, I'll limit and move on. But if you have any decency tell him and me to stop doing this, even to everyone, it's stupid, a waste of time and energy, and not what he wanted.”

AI-generated depictions of other icons, including Michael Jackson, have also gone viral, but Zelda has made it clear that she finds this practice extremely disrespectful.

She described this trend as both “gross” and “insane” and criticized how it reduces real people's heritage to cheap replicas.

“To see the legacy of real people condensed to the point where it 'vaguely looks and sounds good enough' can drive them away from insanity the way others can drive away the horrible TikTok slop,” she explained.

“You're not making art, you're making disgusting, over-processed hot dogs from the history of human life, art and music.

In a follow-up post, Zelda expressed her dissatisfaction with how AI is being celebrated.

“And for the love of everything, stop calling it 'the future,'” she wrote.

“AI is recycling, regurgitating and re-cherishing the past. You are co-opting the centipede of human content.

Her strong words reflect not only her desire to preserve her father's memory, but also broader concerns about how AI is shaping art, creativity, and respect for human heritage.
