Almost 60% of Koreans feel anxious about falling behind others when using generative artificial intelligence (AI) models to help generate electricity, according to the study.
According to a poll from the Korean Publishing Bureau of 1,000 Koreans, 59.1% of respondents expressed concern that they were lagging behind the trend of using AI for investment advice.
Respondents in their 30s recorded the highest rate of concern among all age groups of 64.5%, according to the survey.
“The numbers show that people in their 30s who are just beginning social and economic activities are showing a strong interest in investing, along with their desire to utilize AI programs,” says Yang Jung-Ae, a researcher at the foundation.
The survey found that 67.2% were worried about not being able to acquire AI-related skills in the workplace, and 54.9% expressed concern about the AI education boom.
Meanwhile, experts warned that investors should refrain from accepting all responses from the AI model as fact.
“Each AI model has a different bias, and responses from the same program may vary depending on whether the service is free or paid,” said Lee Jeong-Min, a researcher at the Korea Financial Consumers Protection Foundation.
“Users need to compare and validate answers through a variety of sources.”
