Earlier on Wednesday, President Donald Trump shared an artificial intelligence-generated video to spark controversy showing him wearing a “Trump 2028” campaign hat stacked on a determined desk in an oval office.
Trump turned to the official X and posted the video at 3:30am on October 2, 2025. This later went viral, with an unidentified man in a grey suit humorously gestured while pointing to the merchandise, and the scene also featured Coca-Cola glass, a phone, and flags of the United States and space.
The digitally created clip references Trump's September 30, 2025 meeting with Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hake Jeffries.
The video quickly attracted over 10 million viewers, received 141,000 likes, and elicited polarized responses from supporters and critics.
Trump's decision to share synthetic media during ongoing budget negotiations has attracted special scrutiny. Supporters celebrated the humorous tone of the Post, while questioning the timing of the enemy amid serious financial debate.
The viral clip illustrates one of the most prominent uses of AI-generated content by a president sitting for a political message.
