Nvidia plans to invest in Openai up to USD 100 billion and provide data center chips. This has gained chipmakers the financial interests of some of the world's most prominent AI companies. This is already a key customer.
Since Openai launched ChatGPT in 2022, investment in AI-powered systems has skyrocketed with the hope that companies in the sector will integrate technology into products and services.
Here is a list of recently signed multi-billion dollar AI, cloud and chip transactions.
Nvidia and Intel
Nvidia invests $5 billion in Intel and provides about 4% of the company after new shares are issued.
Oracle and Meta
Oracle is in talks with Meta on a multi-year cloud computing transaction worth around $20 billion, highlighting the social media giant's willingness to ensure faster access to computing power.
Oracle and Openai
Oracle is reportedly signed one of the biggest cloud deals ever with Openai, with ChatGpt manufacturers expected to buy $300 billion in computing power from the company for about five years.
Coreweave and Nvidia
CoreWeave has signed an initial $6.3 billion order with Bucker Nvidia, a transaction that guarantees AI Chipmaker will purchase cloud capacity that is not sold to its customers.
Nebius Group and Microsoft
Nebius Group will provide Microsoft with GPU infrastructure capacity in transactions worth $17.4 billion over five years.
Meta and Google
Google has signed a six-year cloud computing agreement with a meta platform worth more than $10 billion, Reuters reported in August.
Intel and SoftBank Groups
Intel has received a $2 billion capital injection from SoftBank Group, making Japanese tech investors one of the top 10 shareholders of troubled US chipmakers.
Tesla and Samsung
Tesla has signed a $16.5 billion deal with Samsung Electronics' source chips and, together with CEO Elon Musk, EV maker, said the new chip factory in South Korea's tech giant in Texas will make Tesla's next-generation AI6 chips.
Meta and Scale AI
Meta won a 49% stake on a scale of approximately $14.3 billion, bringing in 28-year-old CEO Alexandr Wang, playing a prominent role in Tech Giant's AI strategy.
Google and Windsurf
Google will hire several key staff from AI code generation startup Windsurf to pay a $2.4 billion licensing fee as part of the transaction to use Windsurf's technology on non-exclusive terms.
CoreWeave and Openai
CoreWeave signed a five-year contract worth $11.9 billion in March with Openai before the NVIDIA-backed IPO of Startup.
Stargate DataCenter Project
Stargate is a joint venture between SoftBank, Openai and Oracle, and builds a data center. The project was announced in January by US President Donald Trump. President Donald Trump said businesses will invest up to $500 billion to fund infrastructure for artificial intelligence.
Amazon and humanity
Amazon.com has invested $4 billion in Openai's competitor humanity, doubling its investment in a company known for its Genai Chatbot Claude.
