Paid Firefly customers will win unlimited AI-assisted videos over the next two weeks, followed by a cost structure. Other clients, such as Hollywood Studios and streamers, can order tools individually for filmmakers. With this agreement, Luma hopes that its technical tools will become a staple in the industry.

Luma AI's technology, supported by Amazon, A16Z and others, aims to make AI-generated movie videos more realistic. Hollywood Studios and Filmmakers hope to use tools to generate videos without the need for filming to reduce costs by generating videos on screens. Luma has released a stable stream of models since it first appeared on the scene with Dream Machine in early 2024. This tool was a quantum leap in being able to make short form videos with basic text prompts. Ray3 continues the trend of short 10-second video with a higher level of realism, rather than without dialogue.
