Applications of AI

(12:45 GMT, September 18, 2025 | Official Statement) – MLEX Summary: Global OECD research into government's use of AI reveals a broad range, but lags behind the private sector. The study found that policy assessment, taxation and civil service management were particularly overlooked. In the most common applications, streamlined services, decision-making, anomaly detection, and its overall AI are used for analysis rather than mundane tasks, contrary to expectations. The first Apple report examines 200 government AI use cases and discovers the lack of skills and difficulties in deploying technology due to old regulations. The OECD intends to encourage governments to improve efficiency and confidence in AI use.
