12:00 Does artificial intelligence destroy or improve the workforce?
1:00 The Democrats have decided
Kevin Surace is a RIT alumnus who spent decades helping to build up patents and lead the field of technological innovation. He is far more optimistic about artificial intelligence than his destiny. Surace believes that AI will not devastate the job market, but he says that indeed, he can change the nature of work in many ways. He says that if you know how to use AI, it's a good thing. We're sitting down to discuss the future of work and why he wants us to see the sunny side of technology.

Then, two hours before six months ago, Sen. Chuck Schumer persuaded his fellow Democrats to vote for the fundraising bill that President Trump and Elon Musk had hoped for. It avoided government closures. Some Democrats argued to fund governments that act in ways that betray their values. Schumer said he realized that many of his colleagues would oppose him, but he acted with courage and confidence. He doesn't think that even if political parties in the administration act in abhorrent way, he can allow the government to be shut down. Shumer argued that if you shut down the government you might close the courts. And what? In a few weeks, Democrats could face the same choice. Again, there is a wave of anger growing at the way the government is acting. Our guests will lead local Democrats to discuss their future choices.
