Google is upgrading that upgrade Video Generation function Google PhotosVEO 3 software will be introduced to enable users to turn still images into dynamic 4-second video. This new feature is being deployed to US users. According to Google spokesman Michael Marconi, upgrades from the previous VEO 2 software significantly improve the resolution and overall quality of these video clips.
How to use VEO 3 with Google Photos
Users can access the features under the Create tab in Google Photos and choose two options: Subtle Movement for the slightest animation. Or “I feel lucky” to get more dramatic effects, such as dancing subjects or adding confetti collapse. This update is the latest move in Google's ongoing efforts to provide advanced video generation tools to a larger audience. The company first unveiled the VEO 3 models along with Flow Text-to-Video software at an I/O event in May.Then, in August, users were able to access a limited version of the AI-powered video editor VIDS, which includes AI-generated avatars.

According to Google's vice president of Gemini Josh Woodward, the most notable feature of Veo 3 is its “incredibly realistic” sound generation, but the free version of this tool in Google Photos does not include sound. Free photo users can use video generation tools on a limited number of photos each day, allowing ultra and professional subscribers to access more generations.The AI tools on the Create tab provide more than just movement. Users can also convert photos to 3D animations. This can be exported as a video. Additionally, the new “highlight” feature creates a video montage of photos based on keywords you enter into the gallery.
