Virus White House video “Probably AI Generation”: Trump

AI Video & Visuals

President Donald Trump dismissed the virus video posted over the weekend, claiming it was likely to be produced. The clip appears to show a black bag dropped from a two-storey window in the White House.

“It's probably generated by AI. So, in fact, you can't open the windows. Why do you know? They're all very armored and bulletproof,” Trump said. “That's because I know all the windows there… Number one, they're sealed and the second window weighs around 600 pounds.”

When a reporter showed him the video in person, the president again pushed him back saying it was impossible.

“Yeah, those windows are sealed. All of these windows are sealed. You can't open them,” Trump said.

Trump joked that something bad would “just blame the AI.”

Other sources contradict Trump

Trump claims that the video is likely to be produced, but other sources told CNN that the video is real. Sources argue that the scene is related to construction and renovations taking place in that area of the White House.

Experts at UC Berkeley who reviewed the footage said he had not seen any signs it was generated.

“We don't detect any digital watermarks that are sometimes inserted at the time of an AI outbreak. All shadows in scenes, including shadows cast by thrown bags, are physically consistent,” he said.
