Leveraging the power of AI models, prompts, and tools has never been easier to leverage in working AI applications. We look forward to unveiling Opal, a new experimental tool from Google Labs. This allows you to build and share powerful AI mini-apps that match prompts, models and tools using simple natural language and visual editing. Opal is a great tool for prototyping AI ideas and workflows, demonstrating proof-of-concept with functional apps, building custom AI apps to increase productivity in the workplace, and more. We're launching it today and we're very excited to see what you've built.
Now available in public beta
Opal is brand new and experimental. We are on sale today in the US-only public beta. Because we believe that the best way to build a new product is with the community from the start.
No code is required. No code needed
Opal is an experiment, but packed with powerful features designed to make your ideas come true.
When building software, the sequence of steps a user takes to achieve a particular goal is called a workflow. Opal helps simplify and visualize these workflows, allowing you to build powerful multi-step apps by chaining prompts, AI model calls and other tools together. Just explain the logic and Opal builds a visual workflow.
Opal converts your instructions into a visual workflow, providing fine-grained control without having to look at the lines of your code. You can build and remix AI mini apps using natural language commands for conversation, visual editors, or a combination of both. If you want to fine-tune the step prompt, add new features, or invoke tools, you can edit it in Visual Editor or explain the changes.
Once your app is ready, you can use your Google account to share it as an app that others can use right away.
Let's get started with Opal
To get started, Opal features a demo gallery with starter templates. You can use these pre-built AI apps as is or remix them to your exact needs.
Opal introduces new ways to create using AI. It's about converting simple prompts into powerful mini-apps, empowering creators, innovators and performers to build the tools they imagine.
Ready to start the building? Welcome to Opal.
