The AI-edited version of the 2013 film “Raanjhanaa” attracted severe criticism from director Aanand L Rai. Visiting Instagram, the filmmakers shared long notes along with old photos of Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor, deeply upsetting these events.
On Thursday night, director Aanand L Rai wrote: “The last three weeks have been surreal and deeply upset. It has been changed, repackaged and re-released without my knowledge or consent to watch films born out of care, conflict, collaboration and creative risk. The industry, audience, and the larger creative community have reminded me of the first place: courage and I was in favor of the truth.”

Aanand L Rai, known for his films such as “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”, “Atrangi Re”, and “Haseen Dilruba”, said he did not support or support the Ai-Olted version of Raanjhanaa, and said it was fraudulent.

Aanand L Rai said that the editing of Ai-Edited to his films is a betrayal of the idea that our work can be shot mechanically and taken as an innovation. There were no Life, actors, lyricists, editors, and large crews.
He said, “If Raanjhanaa meant something to you, then know that this Ai-Calted version doesn't reflect who we are, as it was for us.
