NTT Data I've tapped Mistral AI To become a partner in providing generative AI solutions to global companies, artificial intelligence (AI) startups have instant access to 75% of the Fortune Global 100, a client of the Japanese giant.
Both companies announcement Their partnership on Tuesday (July 29th) will combine NTT Data's global IT services suite with Mistral AI's open weight generation model.
Mistral AI is widely considered for European answers Openaia developer of Frontier AI models, but at the scale of large companies such as NTT Data, they lack global enterprise infrastructure and customer support systems.
The partnership makes Mistral's model widely distributed. Meanwhile, NTT Data acquires the highest tier AI startup partners and develops generation, inference, and agent AI models to provide clients.
NTT DATA will also develop the Mistral AI Center of Excellence and launch a technical implementation and certification program for staff.
The company initially aims to provide a sustainable and safe AI platform tailored to highly regulated sectors such as financial services, insurance, defense and government.
Mistral's partnership can be compared to Openai's partnership relationship and Microsoft. As a majority investor in Openai, Microsoft has access to frontier AI models like the GPT series and offers it to enterprise clients through Azure Cloud Service. Openai takes a wide distribution among cloud clients.
AWS and humanity have similar relationships. AWS offers the Claude model of humanity through cloud services. have investment $8 billion for an AI startup. It's also available on Google investment In anthropology. AWS and Google Cloud allow clients to access Anthropic's Claude AI model.

Partnership focusing on three areas
The NTT partnership comes as Mistral received support from NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang to help him catch up with US rivals such as Openai and Anthropic. Han had Lobbying activities French President Emmanuel Macron will link Mistral to established French companies and nurture potential clients.
NTT and Mistral said they will focus on three areas first.
- Developing secure AI applications for private cloud infrastructure
- Integrate Mistral's technology into NTT Data's customer experience platform.
- Develop regional to-market strategies tailored to specific dynamics in countries such as France, Luxembourg, Spain, Singapore and Australia. A dedicated sales team will support co-delivery, from use case development to managed services.
The early projects include collaboration with Dennemeyer, a global provider of intellectual property management, creating AI applications for advanced patent search and analysis.
Another initiative involves the creation of a sovereign AI platform in Luxembourg for its financial services and insurance clients. NTT Data called the project a “landmark” opportunity.
