YouTube Shorts is rolling out several new AI-powered tools as the platform introduces image-to-video capabilities for short form creators. Plus, the new generation effect allows you to turn your sketch into a cool image and rethink your selfies with engaging scenes.
YouTube has announced these new AI creation tools in its latest blog post. You can share images from your camera roll and select suggestions to turn your video into video. In one of the YouTube demos, images of traffic lights come to life as the camera slowly zooms in and pedestrians begin to dance.

This is similar to the inter-image functionality available in the Gemini app with the VEO 3 video generation model. However, YouTube shorts now have VEO 2 tools.
