AI rethinks Delhi with seaside views.
What if Delhi is completely different? This is the question that AI-generated videos try to answer, and it's going viral to rethink what some of the capital's most iconic landmarks would look like if Delhi was a coastal city. Viral videos cause waves of mixed reactions online, with many comparisons to Mumbai, where the Arabian Sea is surrounded by nature.
The video was posted to Instagram by users identified as Manogeomerecaption: “Delhi is making waves.” It shows a Qutub Minar, opening with waves covering the location of Connaut, then standing high in the middle of the ocean. Next, the Rashtrapati Bhavan appears to be rising up on a platform surrounded by water. Finally, the gates of India are depicted surrounded by ocean waves. This video beautifully shows how seawater can enhance the aesthetics of these historic landmarks.
Since uploading, AI-generated clips have gone viral, drawing mixed responses online. Many users compared the visuals to Mumbai. One user said, “AI thinks Delhi is like Mumbai. Mumbai is like a strip of design, Delhi is designed like a closed loop.” Another comment stated, “AI just converted it to Mumbai.”
One user expressed his admiration, saying, “I love the ocean here.” Another pointed out, “Even if Delhi had water, the colour would not have been this clear.” The user cried out “Bro Mad Scenes Fr.” Others raised concerns about pollution and the sense of citizens, saying that if Delhi had the ocean, “people would be seriously polluting it.” On the other hand, some simply appreciated the beauty, believing that the ocean would become even more spectacular.
