Imagen, the AI-driven editing platform best known for its photography tools, brings cutting-edge technology to video editing. The company has announced the public beta release of Imagin for videos, which offers AI-powered frame-by-frame color correction.
Following Imagen's success in the photography market, which streamlined the editing of over 100,000 photographers, it has processed over a billion images since its launch in 2020. With images for video, the company aims to tackle one of the most technical and time-consuming aspects of video post production. It provides consistent professional ratings across multiple sequences and various lighting conditions.
Video Editor's AI Assistant
Imagen in Video Public Beta introduces fully automated color correction, allowing video editors to bypass boring manual tasks, typically with tools like Davinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere. Editors can now apply intelligent color adjustments such as lighting, contrast, tone and exposure across each frame, ensuring a cohesive look optimized for a variety of settings, from brightly lit outdoor scenes to dimly lit atmospheres at indoor receptions.
“We helped 100,000 photographers save hundreds of thousands of hours,” says Yotam Gil, co-founder and CEO of Imagin. “Now we're doing the same for videographers. We start with one of the most difficult parts of the process. We're achieving a consistent, professional look across a variety of lighting conditions and several sequences.”

New frontiers in video editing
As it expands to video, Imagen aims to significantly reduce the time spent on post-production tasks. With the video editing software market expected to reach $4.766 billion over the next few years, Imagen's entry into the space will be the right moment. Adding AI assistants to your workflows illustrates a potential shift towards a more intelligent and time-efficient editing process.
Currently, color correction features are fully integrated into Adobe Premiere, but Imagen plans to extend it even further. The next step in the development pipeline is the launch of Sequence Building. This allows the platform to automatically organize and select video clips based on creative input. This feature, currently in final development, promises to streamline the video editing process even further.
“From outdoor rituals to candle receptions, video editors often have a hard time creating sticky visual tones. By choosing a profile for your preferred style, Imagen applies intelligent and personalized color correction, lighting, contrast, tone and exposure adjustments.
