Google has expanded global access to VEO 3, an AI-powered video generation tool that is currently available to Google AI Pro subscribers in more than 150 countries, including Pakistan. The latest update allows users to convert static photos into 8-second video clips with sound via the Photo-to-Video feature launched earlier this year.

According to a statement issued Friday, more than 40 million videos will be generated using VEO 3 within seven weeks of release, with users adopting it to recreate fairy tales, experiment with ASMR and explore other creative formats.

To use this feature, users can select “Video” in the Tools menu, upload a photo, describe the scene and accompanying audio instructions, and generate short animation clips. This feature is available through Google's Gemini AI model and is integrated into Flow, a platform focused on film production.

Flow also supports audio generation, sound effects, and background audio, but Google pointed out that audio generation remains experimental. Another tool, “Frames to Video,” can be accessed quickly via VEO 3 using personal images as the basis for dynamic content.

As part of our AI policy, Google has emphasized that all generated content will include visible watermarks and invisible synthesis markers. The company also said it continues to perform Red Team exercises, implement safety policies and seek user feedback to prevent the misuse of the technology.
