Indian IT company Coforge has worked with the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University to explore how generative AI can be effectively applied across the industry. As part of the initiative, business school students participated in the Fuqua Client Consulting Practice (FCCP) and worked closely with Coforge experts and faculty to identify practical use cases of the technology in areas such as asset management, travel and customer service.

This collaboration allowed students to translate learning learning into practical business insights and provided strategic analyses and recommendations aimed at supporting digital transformation within client organizations. Coforge said the partnership is an example of broader engagement with academic and research institutions to explore new technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.

Vic Gupta, executive vice president of Coforge, said Fuqua's powerful technology-focused curriculum and global talent pool have become ideal partners. “These collaborations provide access to individuals who provide new perspectives on industry challenges. With the support of faculty and instruction from experts, we can develop viable solutions for our clients,” he said.

Separately, Coforge recently announced a partnership with Blackhawk Network (BHN), a global provider of brand payment solutions, to modernize BHN's conflict resolution operations. The initiative includes implementing ServiceNow's Financial Services Operations (FSO) Dispute Management Module to streamline the handling of transactional disputes.

The new platform incorporates AI and automation to increase the speed and efficiency of managing customer complaints. This is a process that is seen as resource-rich in the financial services sector. Key features such as real-time analytics, automated case summary and improved transparency are designed to allow for faster resolution and increased regulatory compliance.
