[Shanghai, China, June 18, 2025] MWC Shanghai In 2025, Huawei introduces new developments that will experience 5G Advanced (5G-A) monetization and scenario-based services driven by AI agents. The company's exhibit at this year's event is entitled “Accelerating the Intelligent World” as it intends to meet with global careers, industry partners and opinion leaders to discuss new paths for career development focusing on using AI to create value.
The Huawei showcase focuses on the latest innovations in three areas:
- Services: Huawei plans to announce the success of many 5G-A experience monetization and scenario-based AI application (AI-to-X) projects it has implemented in collaboration with three major Chinese carriers.
- Infrastructure: Huawei hosts presentations from career partners about his recent experience in building AI-centric networks, explaining how to create an AI computing hub that enables business success with AI. The company is also launching a new comprehensive AI Ultra-Broadband (AI UBB) solution that covers all network layers from home broadband to transport networks. The solution comes with end-to-end built-in computing power and comprehensive performance enhancements aimed at accelerating the evolution of networks to high levels of autonomy, improving the AI application experience and enabling business growth.
- Operations: Huawei and three major carriers, China, will collaborate on the latest best practices and outcomes of intelligent wireless network operations and intelligent home broadband operations, as well as AI computing services for training and reasoning. These practices help carriers build, maintain and utilize computing power.
The adoption of commercial 5G-A is expected to accelerate in many regions in 2025, including China, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific. Careers in these regions are actively investigating experience monetization models.
Huawei vice-president and revolving chairman Eric Xu gave a keynote address on the pathways to drive growth in the telecom industry. Xu began his speech by sharing his observations about the current situation in the telecom industry. “After nearly 40 years of rapid growth, the industry has entered a period of stable development and is facing several challenges for new growth.”
He began to expand four potential pathways to growth.
- Increases due to changes in user needs and meet new demands with high growth potential
- Increased supply and consumption of HD video through coordinated efforts throughout the ecosystem
- Bring 5G to all cars for new growth in intelligent connected vehicles
- Bring FTTR to Micro and SMEs to maximise opportunities with AI
“Of course, every career is different,” Xu concluded. “Their markets are different, their business environments are different, and so are their competitive landscapes. So the path to growth is different. We are prepared to work together and work together to help our careers explore the opportunities that are unique to them and carve out the right path to long-term, sustainable growth.”

China has emerged as a global pioneer of 5G-A, and 5G-A is already available in over 300 cities. The carrier currently offers 5G-A mobile plans in over 30 Chinese states, and currently has over 10 million 5G-A users in the country. Airlines in China, the Middle East and other regions are investigating new value frameworks for the monetization experience by introducing premium upgrade initiatives. 5G-A provides users with ultra-high speed networks and facilitates intelligent conversions across multiple sectors, including smart living, transportation, and manufacturing.
Thanks to AI-driven innovation, the communications industry is facing major disruption. The success of the new experience monetization model also indicates that the industry will soon enter a new era of growth. These changes are expected to reconstruct the way people interact with each other, with organizations, and with society.
Carriers are uniquely located to embrace this surge in AI and explore new AI applications due to their inherent strengths in cloud, networking, intelligence and computing. They use AI to transform services, infrastructure and operations. This is unlocking new drivers for business growth.
Many carriers rebrand themselves as providers of personalized, integrated, high quality AI agents that are accessible to consumers anytime, anywhere. Within the smart home market, existing services are upgraded by enabling coordination between various smart devices and enhancing smart home relationships. The carrier is also moving into the in-vehicle services market by integrating AI agents and all (V2X) technologies into the vehicle to create a smart, mobile third space that delivers a new experience of monetization. Enterprises are upgrading capabilities by enhancing computing network services and model-based services that deepen production and operations.
MWC Shanghai 2025 will be held in Shanghai, China from June 18th to June 20th. During the event, Huawei will showcase the latest products and solutions at Hall N1 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
Commercial adoption of 5G Advanced is accelerating in 2025. Huawei will work with global careers, industry experts and opinion leaders to explore ways to rebuild telecom services, infrastructure and operations using AI innovations to generate new revenue streams and move towards an intelligent world.
