Nordic Semiconductor has announced the acquisition of intellectual and core technology assets from Neteron.AI, a pioneer in fully automated TINYML solutions for Edge devices. This ignites a new era of ML on the edge by combining Nordic's industry-leading NRF54 series ultra low power wireless SOC with NEUTON's innovative neural network framework.

Scalable and accessible intelligence leap
Neuton.ai's patented technology breakthrough resides on a fully automated platform, typically creating ML models in under 5 kb. With exceptional ease of use, these models do not require manual tuning or data science expertise, allowing for rapid deployment across 8, 16, and 32-bit MCUs.
Through an innovative neural network framework that automatically builds ultra-compact models without a predefined architecture, NEUTON.AI provides accurate, energy efficient, and fast AI for edge applications in consumer, healthcare and industrial markets.
Enabling the future of Edge AI
This acquisition is due to the increased demand for edge node intelligence. With the shipment of the TINYML chipset, which is expected to reach $5.9 billion by 2030, Nordic is ready to take advantage of the opportunity by providing developers with a robust, instantly scaled AI/ML toolkit for applications such as predictive maintenance, smart health monitoring, process automation, gesture recognition, next-generation consumer wear and IoT Devices.
Integration and outlook
The acquisition includes all of Neuton.ai's intellectual property and selected assets, along with a performance-driven team of 13 highly skilled engineers and data scientists. The Neuton.AI brand and platform will continue to operate during the initial integration phase, ensuring uninterrupted services for current users and partners.
